                 Wine Guide

Cabernet Sauvignon is considered the "King" of red wine grape varietals.  It's used in many Bordeaux blends as a trifecta with Cabernet Franc and Merlot.  Cabernet Sauvignon became defined as "the grape" in the Napa Valley region and is a mainstay in many of California's growing regions.  However, this grape varietal is grown worldwide.  It's heartiness and "big" flavors make it perfect for aging.  In my book, nothing beats a well made Cabernet.  There's a plethora of wonderful cabs out there waiting to be "discovered".
